Thanh Toan Tile - Roofed Bridge crosses a ditch flowing from the beginning to the end of the village, at Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town, Thua Thien - Hue, about 8km from the center of Hue to the east by road.

It is one of the rare kinds and has the most valuable art in all kinds of ancient bridge in Vietnam. Thanh Toan Tile Bridge is an ancient architectural monument very valuable in history, culture and also landscape.

In the spirit of "drinking water source memory" and respecting for cultural heritage, generations at Thanh Toan village have preserved a unique architectural works in Hue. In September 1991, this large bridge renovated under the old scale and was officially recognized by Ministry of Culture and Information through the National Monuments, became the precious and rare landscapes of the country.

Even on the road, travelers can feel the idyllic and close rural scene. Beyond the area of Hue, continuing on the village road like a picturesque, the two sides are rice paddies, bamboo groves in sequence, with a small boat on a quiet canal along with ducks slowly swimming under the pond and then stopping to welcome cool breeze mixed sweet fragrance of paddy sprouts, visitors can erase the weary and noisy air or the bustling crowded streets to enjoy the serene moments.

Besides, currently the village has still kept the traditional culture from ancient. Bai Choi, which is a popular game in the holidays, has been preserved to the present day.

By that way, the countryside market sessions pull tourists’ legs again to buy local products such as Thuy Thanh conical, Thuy Van dwarf banana, fruit, fragrant sticky rice, ... in the booth; you can enjoy some dishes like folk mussel rice, mixed vermicelli, Thuy Duong bread soup, Thuy Thanh boiled potatoes; as well as many gifts for little kids: cake, small pyramidal glutinous rice cake, glutinous rice cake dyed black in a concoction of leaves, filter cake, or relieve the heat of summer with a fine flour mingled bowl, a purple potato sweet soup, a corn sweet soup, a Rice Wine or a green tea bowl.

After exploring the market, visitors can look at a gallery with many exhibits like farming tools recreated village space and some pictures featured conventional lifestyle of Vietnam farmer. Here, visitors can try making farmers once through milling paddy, pounding rice, screening, fishing, taking hooves ... to sympathize with the hardships of the farmer.
