I and my friends were travelling around Vietnam during one month. We were so happy with our trip to explore one of the wonderful countries in the world. Vietnam is amazing country which has so many beautiful cities and landscapes as Hanoi city, Ha Long Bay, Phong Nha caves, Hoi An old town, Nha Trang city, Ho Chi Minh city, etc. Especially, we have been so impressive with Hue city which is in central of Vietnam. Hue is an imperial city of Vietnam and it is so beautiful and has so many places to visit.

Huế is a city in central Vietnam that was the seat of Nguyen Dynasty emperors and the national capital from 1802-1945. A major attraction is its vast, 19th-century Citadel, surrounded by a moat and thick stone walls. It encompasses the Imperial City, with palaces and shrines; the Forbidden Purple City, once the emperor’s home; and a replica of the Royal Theater.

Famously being one of Vietnam’s seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Imperial City of Hue has long been a must-see attraction for tourists visiting a hidden charm of Vietnam. Famously being one of Vietnam’s seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Imperial City of Hue has long been a must-see attraction for tourists visiting a hidden charm of Vietnam. The Imperial City of Hue was actually a walled fortress and palace belonged to the ancient city of Hue which was a capital city of the Nguyen Dynasty for 140 years date back from 1805 until 1945.

At first, I was thinking this is a small city when I was reading on internet and the guide book and we just wanted to stay one day to visit the imperial city which is the most famous place there. Surprisingly this city was amazing when we came by exploring around the city on the motorbike from a motorbike tour in Hue. We felt the best transportation to travel is motorbike that you can go everywhere and discovering the different sights. The motorbike tour company recommended us the Hue Lady Rider Tour which is exploring the city around on two wheels with young lady riders.

We felt so happy when we booked this tour that we explored different sights in the Hue day tour such as the Khai Dinh tomb, Tu Hieu pagoda, Vong Canh hill, Thuy Chanh village and Dong Ba market.

Our first stop is Khai Dinh tomb which is fanciest tomb in Hue. The Tomb of Khải Định is located in Chau Chu mountain near Huế in Vietnam. It was built for the Nguyễn Emperor Khải Định. It was built from 1920 to 1931 taking 11 years to complete. The tomb is a blend of Western and Eastern architecture. It is located on a steep hill. This was my favorite tomb because the architecture is so amazing and attracted me so much.

After Khai dinh tomb, the lady riders continue to show us the second beautiful landscape with is Tu Duc tomb. We were so happy that we saw the different tombs of the kings in Nguyen dynasty. Tomb of Tự Đức is located in Huế, Vietnam. It is built for the Nguyễn Emperor Tự Đức and took three years to build from 1864–1867. It is divided into a Temple Area and a Tomb Area.

Emperor Tu Duc enjoyed the longest reign of any monarch of the Nguyen dynasty, ruling from 1848-83. Although he had over a hundred wives and concubines, he was unable to father a son (possibly he became sterile after contracting smallpox). Thus, it fell to him to write his own epitaph on the deeds of his reign. He felt this was a bad omen, but the epitaph can still be found inscribed on the stele in the pavilion just to the east of the Emperor's tomb. This stele is the largest of its type in Vietnam, and had to be brought here from a quarry over 500 kilometers away--a trip that took four years.

Especially, we had an awesome lunch in a local restaurant and had a chance to understand the culture of vietnam more through the food. We ate vietnamese vegetarian food which are totally different than my county that many dishes serviced us at lunch. From that we understand why many vietnamese people choose to eat vegetarian for their whole life. As my tour guide told me that Hue is the best city in Vietnam for food because it was an imperial city so the kings required the local people had to be creative at cooking and the local people have made so many different food. I have tried the best food so far in my life in Hue city,Vietnam.

Lastly, we came to Thien Mu pagoda which is a historic temple in the city of Huế in Vietnam. Its pagoda has seven stories and is the tallest religious building in Vietnam. The temple is often the subject of folk rhymes and ca dao about Huế, such is its iconic status and association with the city. It is regarded as the unofficial symbol of the former imperial capital. The pagoda sits on the Hà Khê hill, in the ward of Hương Long in Huế. It is around 3 km from the Citadel of Huế constructed by the Nguyễn Dynasty and sits on the northern bank of the Perfume River.

I was so sad to say goodbye with the tour that the girls were amazing and they cared us so much during the trip. We felt it was like a great friendship we have had in Vietnam. We enjoyed the trip so much and it was unforgettable trip for us.
